Here are some pictures of the house site for Manuel. On the map, the central square of the town is on the left. The house in the picture is the small house that Manuel's parents will live in.

August 15, 2007 Manuel has completed the application for land title. The plans are for Manuel's parents to occupy the small house that exists on the new property, and the siblings to occupy the newly constructed house. The small house will be available October 1, when the whole family will move there while the new house is constructed.
July 31, 2007 Ovidio and Rodolfo went to Copan to pursue land purchase issues. They met together with Manuel, the landowner and a lawyer to finalize details of the land purchase. The land is close to downtown and has access to municipal electricity and water. They put money down for the purchase and developed the first of several legal papers to gain title to the property.
July 24, 2007 The church wired the first funds to Honduras to purchase the land. Funds were deposited in Ovidio Flores who is documenting expenses and distributing the funds.
July 19, 2007 Rodolfo again traveled to Copan. Manuel had located land with a small house on it which was reasonably priced. Ovidio and Rodolfo developed an itemized budget for major expenses.
July 10, 2007 Rodolfo went to Copan to look at property with Manuel. He wrote an extensive report on processes, limitations, and high land prices. He sought guidance about total budgets and location issues. We responded that we wanted the family to be able to reside in the city, given that they do not have transportation. We provided total budget limits.
July 3, 2007 Manuel visited consultants, Ovidio Flores and Rodolfo Quintero in San Pedro Sula to develop a plan of action and clarify housing needs. The housing must accommodate 6 family members. The lot on which the current house sits has been sold, so it is not available for new construction.
